The Bobcats were busy this week! 🎶 On Saturday, they performed at Festival of Bands, where they placed second in their class and were awarded best drum majors in prelims, then placed sixth out of twenty six total bands in finals. 🍬 Before that, they celebrated BHS Homecoming week with a fun parade and an excellent halftime show! 🎉 We are proud to honor this year's seniors; thank you all for your hard work, leadership, and commitment. Due to the fire watch Brookings County is currently under, the ‘Burning of the B’ will be moved from the south parking lot to the BHS track field. We will light the B with decorative lights immediately following the Coronation ceremony.

BHS will begin sending out a monthly BHS Newsletter named 'The Bobcat'. The goal is to send this out towards the end of every month to BHS staff, students, and families. We hope it is helpful and informative! You may find the link on our homepage under NEWS. The link will be updated monthly.


IT'S HOMECOMING TIME -
BHS Homecoming is a few weeks away, and it's time to build those floats and get our candy bags ready because the BHS Homecoming Parade IS BACK!!! Let's see if we can outdo last year's 70+ entries and make our parade the best ever. This year's theme is "The Brookings Tea Party...Let's Spill the Tea."
On Friday, October 4, classes will dismiss at 1:00 to head downtown for our 2:00 parade. The parade route starts at 6th St & 5th Avenue, goes south down 5th Avenue to Front Street, heads west down Front Street to Main Avenue, then goes north down Main Ave where it ends at 6th Street. Coaches, Advisors, Managers, Directors, Bosses, or Anyone leading a community group, get your entry ready and register. Go to the BSD Homepage and register. Entries are due on Friday, September 27.
