Step 1: Complete Pre-Screening

• Click the button below to start the pre-screening process.

• Eligibility: Your child must turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025 to enroll in kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school year.

• For Junior Kindergarten and SDSU Kindergarten:

  • Register your child using the same form for Kindergarten Screening. There is an option to indicate your interest in these programs at the end of the form, so make sure to do so.

  • During the process, you'll learn about Junior Kindergarten and SDSU Kindergarten and how students are selected.

  • Junior Kindergarten and SDSU Kindergarten students must also turn 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025.

Step 2: Schedule Your Screening

• After submitting the registration form, the District Registrar will email you within 10 business days.

• The email will include a link to choose a screening date and time.

• Be sure to check your email regularly for this important message.

Step 3: Attend Your Screening Appointment

• Go to the screening appointment at your chosen date and time.

• Screenings will generally take place at your child’s assigned school, based on district boundaries.

  Note: Screening at a specific school does not guarantee enrollment at that school for the 2025-2026 school year.

Be Prepared! The following items are required at the time of screening:

1. Certified copy of the child's birth certificate

2. Immunization records

3. Proof of residence
