MICKELSON MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Congratulations to the 12 students that competed in the Mathcounts Chapter Competition yesterday in Sioux Falls.  You made MMS proud!

The team (consisting of Shinji Numata, Taponidhi Cherukuri, Timothy Jin, and Matthew Michna) placed 2nd, advancing all 4 of them to the State Competition.  Individually, Timothy placed 1st,  Adrian Butzin placed 4th, and Shinji placed 5th. Adrian's score also advanced him to the State Competition.  Congratulations!

This morning we want to wish our Educators Rising members well as they leave for their state conference in Spearfish this weekend. There will be 34 MMS students competing there this weekend and hoping to qualify for the national competition. Have fun and good luck, to all of you!

If there are any 6th grade girls interested in checking out what it would be like to be on the gymnastics team you can come to the 6th grade clinic today or any day in the next two weeks.  You can ride bus 1 over to the high school and we will be done by 5:00.  Don't forget to bring your permission form.  If you need another one, just see Mrs. Chapman or Mrs. Veldkamp.

Just a reminder that the weather is getting colder. All students need to wait outside for their ride or bus. Unless you are working with a teacher or in the gym for sports, you should not be hanging around the halls/bathrooms after school.
