MICKELSON MIDDLE SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS
The MMS chapter of Educators Rising will have its first meeting of 2026 this Thursday, Jan. 8, from 3:30 to 5 PM. The meeting will be in Ms. Lacher-Starace's classroom. Members will be finalizing a service project and discussing plans for the state conference in Spearfish.
FOR: 8th graders who are registered for the 2026 DC trip ... There is one FINAL fundraiser starting TODAY (1/6). If you are interested in selling Hot Stuff pizzas, please get an order form from Mrs. Chamley (6th Red). Orders and payments are due by Friday, January 23rd.
Tuesday afternoon, 18 students competed for the title of MMS Spelling Bee Champion ... and the winner is Winter Anderson from the 6 Black team! Violet Lefers from the 7 Black team came in second place. Congratulations and Good Luck to Winter Anderson who will represent MMS at the State Spelling Bee in Mitchell in February.
