Cereal Food Drive
“I AM ‘CEREAL’ ESLY READY FOR SUMMER!!!”
The Brookings Backpack Project provides the Friday food bags that go in the lockers each week. During the summer, families can go to the Brookings Backpack Project packing site to pick up food bags. The families can also pick up large food items in the summer as well.
Mickelson Middle School will be collecting boxes of cereal next week to donate to the Brookings Backpack Project. Please bring boxes of cereal to the counseling hallway. Let’s see how much we can collect from Monday to Friday. Everyone can show how much we are CEREAL-ESLY ready for summer!
Girls interested in SDSU Basketball Camps. We have flyers in the office.
The Boys and Girls Club will be closed the week of May 18th to May 25th.
Signups are now available in the library for two book clubs. The graphic novel Plain Jane and the Mermaid will meet on Tuesday, May 12th and historical fiction novel Westfallen meets on Thursday, May 14th, both during 10th period.
All library books will be due on Friday, May 15th. Check your lockers, backpacks, under your bed, etc. for overdue books. Don't wait until the last day of school and get stuck paying the fine. See Mr. Thvedt with any questions or to sign up for book club!
8th graders traveling to DC - there will be an informational pre-trip meeting at 5:15 on Monday, May 18th in the MMS Cafeteria. Please attend with a parent/guardian. Your parents/guardians should have received an email regarding this meeting. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Chamley in the 6th Red team area.
